The Kickr I can just take the wheel off and mount it.I use one bike 99% of the time so other people may have different experiences if they have bikes they just leave on the trainer. I have the Kickr at home (the original one, no the snap), Computrainer at the gym, and PM on the bike. Other companies are bringing new updated tech and compatibility where the computrainer hardware/software has remained stagnant and unresponsive.
I believe with the release of all the new and updated trainers/software from the other manufacturers this year his opinion of computrainer not being a recommended option has only increased.
Now their recent announcements around 3rd party compatibility and apps are very promising, but that’s just the first step in my opinion. And SpinScan really isn’t super-useful for the majority of folks (I do understand a small number of folks like it of course). At $1,640US, it’s the most expensive consumer trainer out there, yet aside from SpinScan, has less functionality and features than everything else. Ultimately, I feel their RacerMate One software isn’t competitive in the market place today. Perhaps used at a solid discount, but not full price. But at this point, I can’t justify recommending the purchase of a full-price CompuTrainer to anyone. I’ve bought two CompuTrainers myself, and still use them. Why aren’t you recommending the CompuTrainer? And what about RacerMate One?
